CT criteria for differentiating abdominal hemorrhage: anticoagulation or aortic aneurysm rupture?Federle MP, Pan KT, Pealer KM Department of Radiology, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, 200 Lothrop St., Room 3950, Pittsburgh, PA 15213, USA. federlemp@upmc.edu OBJECTIVE: The purpose of our study was to test the hypothesis that CT criteria would allow accurate diagnosis of the specific cause of abdominal hemorrhage in patients with coagulopathy or abdominal aortic aneurysm. CONCLUSION: Attention to specific CT criteria allows accurate diagnosis of the specific cause of spontaneous abdominal hemorrhage even in patients who have both coagulopathy and an abdominal aortic aneurysm.
